Zelda U Delayed and is No Longer Number One Priority for 2015

Eiji Aonuma has made a video announcement apologizing to Zelda fans all over the world that he and his development team for Zelda U will be delayed for 2015. The Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Wii U was originally scheduled for a Summer of 2015 release date. Now Eiji Aonuma is delaying the game to implement new ideas and new concepts for the game.

The game’s release date has not been set and is currently unknown. We hope that the extra time taken to implement these new ideas and concepts pays off for the Legend of Zelda fan base and community.

Eiji Aonuma announced today that the Zelda team is no longer treating 2015 as priority, as there are too many creative ideas they would like to include and perfect in the final release. Aonuma’s team will instead focus on making Zelda U the “ultimate Zelda game” by not sacrificing quality for the sake of an early release.

What do you think about this sudden news about the Zelda U delay? Do you think it will affect the game? Let us know in the comments.
