untitled (2)

As the creator of many of the gaming classics such as Mario and Legend of Zelda, Shigeru Miyamoto has been involved with the recent activity concerning Nintendo’s move to put their games on mobile devices such as smartphones. But in a recent interview with TIME magazine, President Satoru Iwata stated that Shigeru Miyamoto is currently not interested in making games for the smartphones and is more focused on making games for the Nintendo Wii U hoe console.

Miyamoto is currently focused on developing Wii U titles that are scheduled to launch in 2015, such as Star Fox and Zelda U; however, Iwata stated that they would discuss Miyamoto’s involvement in the mobile market if something changes. So, Miyamoto is currently focused on developing Wii U titles this year, but there’s no word on what he’ll be doing next.

We can only hope that Miyamoto’s work will be as awesome as it has been in the handheld and home consoles as it will be in the smartphone world whenever he does decide to get to it.

What do you think?
